NO RESERVE AUCTION! NO RESERVE AUCTION! This early 1960’s Rogers 5X14 inch snare drum retains its original Mardi Gras wrap. The condition of this rare wrap is in excellent, unfaded and in undamaged condition. The chrome rims, strainer and butt plate are also in excellent original condition with superb chrome plating. The chrome bread and butter lugs are the new JP2 Creations replacements (jp2creations@yahoo.com). It is rare that you find a vintage Rogers snare drum with undamaged B&B lugs. JP2 Creations lugs are considered the industry standard for B&B lug replacements. These lugs are heavily chrome plated and much stronger than the original Rogers lugs. Minus the lugs this drum is all original. The interior is unusual in the fact that there is no label and is not painted gray but is natural maple with maple reinforcement rings. The wooden Dynasonic snare drums of the period were also made in this manner with natural maple interior. I had planned to put new heads on the drum but it sounded so good that I kept the early (possibly original) Rogers heads. It also appears to have its original Rogers marked snare wires.
